7 DECEMBER - INSIDE WIRE v DEATH THROW

Its only early in the season but it was time for the much anticipated inter team show down!  Unfortunately a good number of the regulars were out of action so both sides had to field a mixture.  Squirrel made a major tactical error by handing Dark Knights Tony D to Death Throw thinking his handicap would off set the combined scoring power of him and Bandit, he was wrong and ultimately this lead to Inside Wire being ground down to defeat.

Never mind, there were some massive highlights.  In particular Squirrel has charged ahead in the Double 1 cup with another D1 in and a D1 out.  Gangsta smashed in a massive 140 checkout in the team game to take it out.  I think this is the biggest finish in our history so far and also leaves Inside Wire undefeated in the team games so far this year.  It was to no avail though as Death Throw got home comfortably to win 13 to 8.

The win was good news for Death Throw who now have 2 win 2 loss record.  Not so good for Inside Wire who are now 1 from 3.  One more week and then a big summer break, get it on!

WINTER LEAGUE 2017 WRAP

So with winter league now over here are some highlights:

  • The introduction of the double one cup, winners being Van Damme and Black Doug x 2
  • The night Black Doug hit six double 1's!
  • Good results especially coming 2nd in round 4
  • Beating the Tornadoes in their first game back in Div 2
  • More cold hard cash
  • Observing Dawg Grooming and seeing his heart break each time he got rejected
  • Bandit clocking up over 300 team wins and Gangsta over 200.
  • Da Swan finishing with an 80% win record.

SUMMER LEAGUE 2017WRAP

Summer league is over, here are the highlights:

  • A good overall result winning six games. A lot better than last year.
  • Beating Tornadoes L&P
  • Shady’s clutch finish to win the last match of Summer league
  • Dan’s shafts lasting the entire round and still going strong
  • Some fun games against the Tornados and Hoof Hearted
  • The emergence of Da Swan
